With Easter coming I have been thinking about ways to share the real meaning of Easter to my girls. Maybe I am weird, but the commercialization of Christmas doesn’t bother me quite as much as Easter. I might get some backlash for saying that, but it is how I feel. Anyway, I think that there are some great ways to help children understand that Easter is about more than bunnies, candy and new dresses. Here are some great options for sharing the real meaning of Easter if you are looking for some too:

Note I corrected the spelling of her name.
Just wanted to say that Traci of BeneathMyHeart has a posting that her Mom (now deceased) did on Easter Story Cookies, some people call them Resurrection Rolls. Wanda was the food editor for a magazine, and submitted the recipe.

You can also read about something that Wanda did for another child for Easter, that Traci recently was asked to have published.

I agree. I believe the fact of Jesus’ resurrection is what weighs more on my mind with the commercialization as well. So you are not alone and certainly not weird. Great post!
