Um, I have a confession to make. I have been married for almost 13 years, and I have never owned a Christmas tree skirt in all that time. To add insult to injury, I have been blogging about Christmas for 4 years. How did I get away with that?
Well the truth is I have wanted one, but I haven't had the time to make one, and I haven't had the desire to make one, and I don't love the ones that I see in stores(what is up with all my tree skirt negativity?) And since we are all about negativity right now, I should say that I don't want this project to take longer than like 3 minutes! And then I figured out how to do that…
Faux Fur Tree Skirt!
1 2/3 Yard faux fur fabric
1. Lay out the fabric so that is it folded in equal square quarters. The fabric has a bit of child magnetism… be sure to clear the children from the fabric before cutting… just sayin'.
2. Cut an arch from outside corner to outside corner. Like image below, sorry, I didn't get a picture… but this should give you the idea.
3. Cut down one of the folded edges to the center. So that you can put it around your tree.
Put it under your tree, and puff it up a bit…Done…
SO Easy!… Now I just wish the tree would decorate itself…
