Corn Fritters


  • 1 can creamed corn
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • vegetable oil (for frying)


  • Mix all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  • Heat vegetable oil on the stove in a skillet/pan.
  • Once oil is hot, drop spoonfuls of batter into the pan.
  • Fry fritters until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes. 
  • Remove finished fritters from the oil with tongs.
  • Serve hot with maple syrup and butter. 


To make pancakes instead of fritters, simply add milk to the batter until you reach the right consistency. Bake on a griddle as you would with typical pancake batter.
