Gluten free apple crisp is the perfect weeknight dessert during this season! It’s easier to make than pie but just as delicious. Made without flour and loaded with apples and spices this is going to become your go-to apple crumble recipe.
Ingredients
For the filling:
1 ½Poundsapplessliced
¼Cupapple cider
¼Cupbrown sugar
2Tbspbuttermelted
1Tspcinnamon
¼Tspground ginger
¼Tspground nutmeg
3Tbspoat flour
4Tbspcaramel
For the topping:
½Cupoat flour
½Cupold-fashioned oats
½Cupbrown sugar
1Tspcinnamon
½Cupbuttercold and cubed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a bowl toss the apples with the rest of the filling ingredients and set aside while preparing the topping.
In another bowl combine flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon. Add cold butter and mix it in quickly until it resembles coarse sand.
Pour the filling into a casserole, top with the topping crumbs and take to the oven. Bake for around 40 minutes. Cover with foil and continue baking for 20 more minutes or until the filling is bubbly and the topping is golden brown.
