This easy recipe makes a batch of soft and delicious red velvet cookies from a mix to make it fast.
Ingredients
1Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mixunprepared
1Tbsp.Red Food Coloring
1/2cupButterNOT melted
3Tbsp.cocoa Powder
1egg
Optional – White Chocolate Chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
In a bowl, combine all ingredients just until a soft dough forms.
Add optional white chocolate chips and incorporate.
Scoop dough with a medium cookie scoop, and place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake 8-9 minutes.
Notes
I frosted them with a store bought cream cheese frosting and added sprinkles. If you don’t have sprinkles, you can break up one cookie into fine crumbs and sprinkle the frosting with the cookie crumbs, it looks really nice!Do NOT use use shortening, the cookies are too greasy and really fall.Using the white chocolate chips in the cookies is like adding baked in frosting, it made the cookies fantastic! If you do, eat them while they are hot, or pop them in the microwave for 15-20 seconds to soften the chips.
