How to Make a Dollar Tree Christmas Wreath: Step-by-Step Tutorial

Spread holiday cheer with a DIY Dollar Tree Christmas wreath! Learn how to create a stunning wreath on a budget and infuse your home with festive charm. 🎄

Ingredients

  • 1 14-inch wire wreath form from Dollar Tree
  • 2 artificial greenery garlands from Dollar Tree
  • black and white wired ribbon from Dollar Tree
  • 4 greenery picks with pine cones from Dollar Tree
  • Scissors
  • Hot Glue Gun

Instructions

  • Begin by curling one end of one garland around the wire wreath form. Pass the garland bundle through the middle of the wreath to wrap the garland around the wreath form. Then, continue to wrap the garland all the way around the wreath form. When one garland ends, curl it around a wire section of the wreath, and repeat the process with the second garland to cover the entire wreath form.
  • Weave the black and white wire ribbon in and out of the garland loops. You can do this every few garland wrappings to ensure an even distribution. Trim the end of the ribbon and weave it under the garland to hide it. You can also pull the ribbon slightly to make it pop out more for added visual interest.
  • To add a touch of greenery, use your hot glue gun to apply glue to the greenery picks and press them firmly onto the wreath. Make sure to hide the stems in the garland for a seamless look. Feel free to add extra pine cones or greenery to fill in any gaps and make your wreath fuller.
  • Once all the elements are securely in place, let the wreath dry completely. This stunning Dollar Tree Christmas wreath is now ready to be displayed, either on your front door or as part of your indoor decor.

Notes

Other Materials

You could also add texture and variety by using eucalyptus sprigs, red berries or shiny berry clusters, faux branches, orange fruit stems or dried orange slices, or other foliage such as lamb's ear, magnolia leaves, or silver dollar leaf sprigs.

Variations for the Craft

While the instructions above offer a classic Dollar Tree Christmas wreath, there are countless ways to customize your creation:
Color Palette: Experiment with different ribbon colors and greenery to match your existing decor or create a wreath that complements your preferred holiday color scheme - from modern to mid-century to farmhouse.
Embellishments: Add more than just pine cones. Consider incorporating ornaments, bells, or even tiny presents to give your wreath extra character.
Themed Wreaths: Instead of the classic Christmas theme, adapt the wreath to other holiday themes, such as a winter wonderland wreath or a rustic farmhouse wreath with burlap and bells.
Size: You can adjust the size of the wreath form to create smaller or larger wreaths to suit different spaces in your home. This is a great option if you need a larger wreath without wanting to pay a premium price!
Personalization: Attach a personalized sign or initial to the wreath for a unique touch. Make your own personalized painted sign using this tutorial.
