Start by laying out all the wood pieces to see how they will fit on the wreath form. Make adjustments if needed to ensure a snug fit. For a well-filled wood slice wreath, use two layers of wood slices. Place the first layer of wood slices on the bottom with spaces between, then add a second layer of slices on top to cover the gaps, so the outer edges are all basically aligned. You can leave one wooden slice without overlapping (and save those pieces for another craft) since this area will be covered by the bow and greenery.
Apply hot glue to the wire wreath form or flat wooden wreath form and firmly press a wood slice on top. Repeat this process until the entire wreath form is covered in the bottom layer of wood slices. Glue the top layer of wood slices on top of the first layer, and ensure that the wood slices are overlapping slightly for a cohesive look. If the hot glue doesn't seem to hold strong enough, attach a zip tie or floral wire to the wood slice to attach to the wreath form.
Lay out the greenery and place the bow on top to visualize the design. You can add more greenery to enhance the wreath's dimensions and color palette. Having multiple textures of leaves and branches really makes the wreath look wonderful!
Apply hot glue along the stem of the greenery and press the pieces firmly onto the wood slices.
If you aren't using a premade bow, tie or make a ribbon bow. (See how to make your own simple bow here.)
Use a twist tie or zip tie to secure the bow to the wreath form and adjust it to your desired position. You could also use hot glue.
