Home Sweet Home on a Budget: Kitchen Project Linkup

Home Sweet Home on a Budget: Kitchen Project Linkup

Hi there!  I’m Ruth from A House in Holland, and I’m super excited to help Cassity finish off kitchen month with the Kitchen Project Linkup!  We’re looking forward to seeing all the creative, low-cost ways you’ve found to organize and/or beautify your kitchen spaces.  Did you re-do your cabinets yourself?  Create a pretty vignette on an open shelf?  Make a cute rug or curtain?  Slap a stencil on your knife block?  Finally figure out how to organize your pantry?  Show off the results of your effort and creativity in the linkup at the end of this post.  You’ll be able to add links until Monday evening).  Cassity will feature some of the stand-out links later next week.

Just in case you might need a little inspiration to get you started on a kitchen project of your own  I’ve rounded up some nifty, thrifty idea-filled kitchens from around the blogosphere to kick things off, this week.  I went looking for ways to spiff up kitchen decor or organize kitchen supplies that could be accomplished with more DIY enthusiasm than money, and found these terrific examples.

DIY Chalkboard refrigerator from The Handmade Home

Ornate Frames turned fridge magnets at The Way We Are

Chevron wall treatment from East Coast Creative

Skinny storage at Classy Clutter

The Stanley Clan‘s free and reclaimed butcher block countertops

Kristen Duke‘s cute photo display pennant valance

DIY Valance replaces old woodwork at Life At Our House

Barstool makeover from Craftaholics Anonymous

Above the cabinets decor by The Pleated Poppy

Small changes make a big impact at Sunnyside Up

Isn’t it neat to see how a few changes here and there or a creative new use for a simple item can really add personality and function to a kitchen?

Your turn!  Click the linky button below to add links here to the kitchen projects you’ve blogged about.  The linky will be open until Monday night, July 30th.  Please include a link back here to Remodelaholic in your post, so that others can join in the fun, too.  And if you really want to let your friends in on the fun, click the “pin it” button, above, to create a Pinterest pin back to this linkup.

Can’t wait to see your kitchen!
