Friday Favorites: Cute Playhouses + Easy Shelves

Sorry guys — Friday slipped away from me again this week! So I’m a little late on our Friday Favorites and Remodelaholics Anonymous party, so I’ll keep it short and sweet — and be sure to link up at the party below to show off your projects to be featured next week! And PS: pretty please go check out the great giveaways we’re running this week. We have an easy entry giveaway over on Facebook for one of 4 Amazon gift cards, and if you could use a new set of tools, we’d love to hook you up, so go enter!

Okay, now to the favorites from last week’s party and around the web — have a great weekend!

Favorite basement makeover: Basements are a tricky place, and while lots of bloggers have made theirs greatThe Heathered Nest‘s transformation is my new favorite. So much color and character in what was such a bland before! Plus Heather and co. did a great job working around things like tricky pillars that can’t be moved.

Favorite playhouses: If you’ve been following along over on Instagram, you know it’s HOME SHOW season in our area and so we’ve been sharing lots of pictures (and more to come!). Isn’t this little playhouse just the cutest?

And I’m head over heels in love with this cutie by Jen Woodhouse, too. Maybe I’ll build myself a playhouse for a mommy timeout 🙂

Favorite industrial shelving: We’re always big fans of creative shelving ideas and easy shelves, and DIY Fun Ideas‘ cable suspension shelves look great!

Favorite fence: Yes, fence — because now every fence will be begging for a mural like this! We found and shared this one, by Lori Anselmo Gomez in Pearl River, Louisiana, over on Facebook (where we’re also doing a fun and easy giveaway, so be sure to head over!)

Favorite furniture flip: Real Happy Space had a metal side table she loved but it no longer fit as a nightstand for her — so she flipped it (literally) to make this cute mid-century style table for her daughter’s room. If in doubt, wrapping it with wood is always a good choice 😉
