Home Sweet Home on a Budget: Decor for Hardworking Rooms
Next to the bathroom, laundry rooms and mudrooms have to be the hardest working rooms in our houses. They take a beating–getting the muddy boots and dirty clothes that go along with the business of living dropped on their floors on a daily basis. Scrubbing stains isn’t glamorous, and neither is folding piles and piles of clothes, and both those jobs take time. So why are these hardworking laundry rooms that we spend so much time in usually overlooked when we decorate? I’ve found some terrific laundry room makeovers by bloggers that prove to the world that laundry rooms are worth decorating, and doing so doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
I’d love it if you’d pin and share this post with your friends on Pinterest using the button above. But if you’d like to pin individual pictures, please follow the links provided and pin directly from the original source. (It’s the right thing to do!)
Sometimes a few well-placed, colorful objects on open shelving are all it takes to dress up a small space, like these at I Heart Organizing.
Life as a Thrifter dressed up the laundry room with darling black and white photos hung oh-so-appropriately from hangers!
A small shelf and a few girly, pink touches gave the landry room at Love of Family and Home some feminine flair.
One of many cool things about this $50 laundry room makeover at 52 Mantels is this gallery wall.
A Blissful Spirit‘s luandry room has some really colorful, fun touches, but my favorite is probably this repurposed birdcage light fixture.
Pretty plates and eye-catching colors make this laundry room a happy place to be in the home of Decor Chick.
There’s so much gorgeousness in this vintage-inspired laundry room at Home and Harmony, I just can’t stop oohing and ahhing. Love the repurposed lemonade bottles for holding cleaning essentials!
Amanda Carol at Home used plenty of fabric and patterns to create a space for doing laundry that is anything but boring.
Classy navy stripes and a fun ironing board cover keep things exciting in the laundry room of A Couple of Dreamers.

You are very welcome! We really enjoy nice spaces. Have fun visiting our site.
This makes me want to finish up decorating my laundry room. It is on the third floor of our house (I know – why???) so it is rarely seen by anyone out of the family. I still think it needs to have some fun to it.
My sweet hubby bought me a snazzy red washer & dryer because he knew the white just would bore me. The floor is already black and white check and I have some artwork on the wall. Now I need to unpack the last of the boxes, figure out a more creative storage method and I will have a room to share too!
