7 First Day of School Printables for Photos
Choose from the bunting style first day of school sign
ribbon style school sign (editable version available)
first day of school chalkboard sign
the very popular custom fillable infographic first day of school sign (full editable)
and this year’s new pennant banner style photo sign! Just print, trim, and tape or clip onto some ribbon for an easy photo prop.
You can also visit this post for the sixth style, this chic and easy-to-print black and white style designed by our friend Michelle from Enchanted Prints (which also has an editable version available in her shop).
Each of the returning style school signs is designed to just print and go for a busy first-day morning (or afternoon, no judgment here). Print on cardstock for added stability, or pop the printable into a frame for easy extra style points, too.
Each style includes preschool (and pre-K) through grade 12 as well as a more generic “first day of school” for a group photo with a variety of ages. And, for all those parents who relish the freedom of having all the kids in school, we’ve got you covered, too — with a first day of FREEDOM sign! 😉
Cheers to all of you for keeping the kids alive for yet another summer break, and be sure to thank their teachers, too! Might I suggest a DIY caddy filled with their favorite treats (or school supplies) — or better yet, an Amazon gift card!
We’d love to see your first day of school photos and hear about any other first day of school traditions you have. Happy summer, happy fall!
How to Customize the Fillable Infographic First Day of School Printable
Please note that of the five styles available in this printable pack, only the infographic style is editable.
Download the file by clicking the button above. After downloading the file, open the file in Adobe Reader — NOT in your web browser. (Adobe Reader is a free download PDF reader — a quick Google search will take you to the Adobe download if you need it. )
Start by choosing a design color: grey, blue, purple, red or yellow. Then simply fill in the highlighted form fields to fit each child and print! There is a place for your kiddo’s name, grade, age, what they want to be when they grow up, their school name and the date of their first day of school. This will make for a great comparison with their last day of school photo!
Thanks again for posting the first day of school signs. I appreciate being able to customize the signs for the kids the night before school starts and they look great in the pics. One of our daughters wants to be an artist. Is it possible that there could be an extra version of the sign that says “I want to be a/an or an…” instead of just a? It looks like her mother doesn’t know correct grammar for a sentence when it reads I want to be a artist when I grow up. 😉
Thank you for creating these printable signs! They were easy to download and look great!
Hooray! Thanks for the comment, Kat, and happy first day of school!
