Remodeling Blitz around here
Justin and I have come to discover something about how we like to remodel… we are not exactly slow and steady wins the race. We are the rabbit, that sprints and/or sits around wasting time… So yes in the long run projects take a long time. But mostly I’ve decided for the next house it is time to embrace who we are and work with it. Get a million things done in a week relax for a month. And remember to be overall be less sloppy.
I’ve been cleaning up poorly painted edges all over the house. Since I “just knew” we were going to paint that wall… but instead we are not painting, and because we are leasing and not selling the house, we are trying to limit some of the investment in time for things that are working… which means fixing a lot of laziness!
Oh well live and learn right?
So wanna see a glimpse into this past two week? Good cuz that is all the time I have for. I should be painting the half bath right now while the kids sleep! How about a HUGE collage… perfect. I will try to talk more about these projects soon, it just may have to wait a week or two!
Working on the patio…
Old, but now new big girl bed…finishing painting all the doors in my house!
Master Bath Stuff…
PS. Remember how I mentioned that we are speaking the 9th of June for the Jordan Valley Home and Garden Club. … if you are in Utah and want to come LEAVE a comment and I will draw a winner for two tickets on Tuesday the 5th! I would love to meet you!

Oooohhh! I see you are making your bathroom vanity taller. Clever clever girl!
Love the blitz method. I am exactly the same. I will be praying for your home to be leased.

Hi!, I see that you’re painting your doors with brush. Why not paint spraying them ? I ‘m about to do the same ( mine are varnished wood ) and cosinder an investmant in a painting gun .
– Olga
No time… brushing only takes about 20 minutes a door, and I don’t’ have the time to take them all off! Besides we are all done now. (We do have a spray gun, but it is not always worth the cleanup to use for a small project!)
Where oh where did you get your gorgeous hanging drapes in the top dining area picture? The gorgeous beachy blue ones???
Ashley- I got those about 6 years ago at Ross! I love them still! But I am not sure you could find them!
