By the state of my Christmas décor, you wouldn’t think that I started in mid November… but considering it took me 3 weeks to get the ornaments on the tree… maybe it does make sense.  The one thing I did that I am proud of was planting Amaryllis bulbs the first of November…  I have had fabulous blooms and love the look!

But my time has been short since we have been working like crazy to make presents.. (the indoor play house,  the accompanying play kitchen (haven’t posted about yet!, and a play tent for my babysitter’s daughter…plus figuring out the pattern for you)

I love finding new inspiration for great things to make... and while this may not be my personal life season to make them, I am saving some of these great projects to make in the future!  So today I thought I would show you some of the things I would make right now if I had the time!

First, my friend Beckie from Infarrantly Creative made my favorite pillow ever!   She reinterpreted an idea from Ballard's Design and honestly I like her pillow better... The instructions on how to make this pillow are here.

In my dream world, I could just go out and buy all new Christmas tree decorations every year, but this is reality... so. for now I will just live vicariously through Centsational Girl's Christmas home tour... look at this AMAZING tree!  I love the colors- simple, but very striking... (and did you notice the barrel base... I totally want one of those)

I think these treats are fabulous, first of all who doesn’t love cake?  Second of all, if you don’t love cake then at least it is cute cake…  Instructions are found here on a site called Cakies!

The other thing I have been trying to figure out is a advent calendar.  Growing up we had a felt Christmas tree with 24 pockets filled with felt ornaments… I have been considering one of those, but I might do another one like this mitten version found on BHG or the sock version one found on Martha.

I love garlands and swags, and these two ideas I love, although they are very different… but both fabulous.  First an ornament garland and second a ribbon garland.

I love branches, and sans the mess, I also love glitter, what a great idea to put them together.
