Best Paint Colors for Your Home: TURQUOISE

Welcome to the latest edition of Remodelaholic’s Color Files!  I have to admit, I was kind of surprised to see how excited of you got about last week’s color, true blue.    I didn’t know that pure blue had so many fans–awesome!  This week, I’m pretty sure you’ll have a few things to say about another saturated color hue:  TURQUOISE.

Turquoise is the name of a blue-green color….and a semi-precious stone that is blue-green in color.  (It’s one of those chicken or the egg things–which came first, the name of the stone or the name of the color?)  It looks great on it’s own or paired with other bright colors.    Turquoise is a happy color.  If you look at the examples below, you’ll notice that none of the featured rooms is the least bit moody; I think turquoise just can’t help but make people happy.

Have you painted anything at your house turquoise, lately?  Do you have a favorite hue of turquoise?  If you have a blog post that tells about the paint color that you used for your latest turquoise project,  make sure you include a link in your comment  so that everyone else can get a look, too.

I love the pop of color on the door in the last photo. I never thought of painting a door, just walls. Definitely something neat to consider.
