Someone I knew once told me that she thought getting food items for Christmas was “just the worst” gift of all. She said that food items barely counted as gifts because “they were gone before the new year began.” I listened to her and considered what she said, but all I could think was, “Well, you sure aren’t getting any of my double chocolate chip bread this year!”

I mean really, who doesn’t like a delicious treat at Christmas time? That’s one of the main joys of the holiday season–all the amazing treats people are baking for each other. If I don’t get some yummy treats from someone at Christmas, I start taking inventory to try to figure out what I did to make them mad.
