The quick cure for any bad hair day is always a ponytail. But just because it is a quick fix, doesn’t mean it can’t also add some serious style to your look. Here are 6 ponytails that are sure to look great. They might just become your go to look no matter what kind of day.

Inside Out Ponytail

This is the average ponytail with a twist. Gather hair back into a low ponytail and secure with an elastic band an inch or so lower on the ponytail than normal. Separate the hair right above the elastic band in half, and flip the ponytail through.

Side Lace Braid Ponytail

This creates a beautiful and romantic look. Plus is keeps all the hair out of your face, showing your face clearly. Start with braiding the front section of the hair, keeping the braid to one side of your head. Gather all the rest of the hair into a low ponytail and secure the ponytail and the braid with an elastic band.

Cute Headband with a Ponytail

This works best with a thin fabric material or elastic headband. It makes a memorable statement, and could even be used in formal occasions. Place the headband at the front of your hair, and tease the hair at the crown to add some volume. Draw the hair back low at the nape of the neck with an elastic band. Take a small piece of hair, wrap it around the band securing the ponytail to hide it, and pin the ends of the piece of the hair underneath.

Half Ponytail

This is an up-do style with only half the commitment. Start by adding soft curls to the hair. Pull the sides and top of the hair back and secure at the crown. Leave the rest of the hair down for volume and style.

French Braid Ponytail

This is a simple, but classic look. Create a French braid with your hair starting at the top and secure it at the bottom of the braid with an elastic band. Leave the ponytail portion of the hair unbraided.

Twisted Ponytail

This works best on long hair, and is perfect for keeping all strands of hair secure. Pull hair into a high ponytail with an elastic band. Pull a strand of hair over the band, and secure the ends underneath, to hide the elastic band. Twist the ponytail and secure it every couple inches with an elastic band. Clear elastic bands look best with this.
