Friday Favorites: Non-Traditional Fall Decor + Pretty Laundry Rooms
It’s Friday and I’m ready for the weekend! The leaves are changing here and it’s getting chilly at night and I love it. Bring on fall! So today’s Friday Favorites start out with some non-traditional fall decorating ideas — because as much as I love the fall colors, breaking out of the fall mold is fun, too! — from last week’s Remodelaholics Anonymous party, plus some beautiful laundry rooms and other fun tutorials and ideas.
Remember, if you want to see your work featured here, you can leave a link (up to 5 different links each week) below at the Remodelaholics Anonymous party, tag #imaremodelaholic on Instagram, drop us a line here to show us your project, or message us over on Facebook.
Favorite non-traditional fall decor: Isn’t this white pumpkin wreath by Paint Yourself a Smile just gorgeous?! Especially with her pretty colored door — and the secret to the beauty is just spray paint, so check it out and make one of your own.
Favorite colorful (but non-traditional) easy fall decor: These fabric pumpkins by Dazzle While Frazzled are easy, and what a great way to use up some fun colored fabric scraps! Because pumpkins don’t have to be orange.
Favorite scrap buster: The fabric pumpkins are fun, but if you’re like me and have more wood scraps and random “junk” from projects — these “junkin” pumpkins by Diva of DIY are just what the scrapbuster ordered.
Favorite classic fall motif: I just adore sunflowers, and this pretty black and white table setting by Pender and Peony is perfect for letting them shine — fall style for sure, but not the traditional pumpkins and red and oranges.
Favorite dreamy laundry room: I shared this beautiful space over on Instagram and I’m still wishing it was mine! What a space, laundry plus crafting and gorgeous all-around!

Favorite real life laundry room: It’s nice to dream of gorgeous laundry rooms, but it’s nice to have a reality check now and again too! A Girl and a Glue Gun made her laundry room fresh and new with a fun stenciled wall — and I only wish my laundry room had the wall space for one of those signs!
Favorite use of rope: Mrs. Do It Herself saw a similar entry table and headed home to build one herself. The rope adds a fun rustic or nautical touch!
Favorite cut-em-up project: I’m a big fan of cutting things up to turn them into something new (like this) and this stacked entry table made from a coffee table cut in two is clever! Details at The Painted Hinge.
Favorite brick wall: Sagebrush Ridge had this beautiful REAL brick wall in her kitchen, but the kitchen also lacked storage — so up went some industrial style open shelving. A beautiful combo!

She believes that planning projects and actually completing them are two different hobbies, but that doesn't stop her from planning at least a dozen projects at any given time. She spends her free time creating memories with her husband and 5 kids, traveling as far as she can afford, and partaking of books in any form available.
Thank you so much for featuring my Fabric Scraps Pumpkins. And I agree – pumpkins don’t need to just be orange!
Thank you for the feature! We had a great time making those Jun-O-Lanterns!
So glad you liked the sunflowers! Thanks for the feature!
