Friday Favorites: Old Barn Door and Tassel Throw
PLUS — we are planning a big Creative Christmas Extravaganza (the name is still a work in process…) for mid-November and we would love to feature your guest posts! If you have a great holiday project tutorial, old or new, that you’d love to rewrite and be featured here on Remodelaholic, drop us a line at hello@remodelaholic.com or fill out the form here.
This week has so many fun ideas. Things to keep you warm like a no sew tassel throw. Or things that are really old, like over 100 years old! And then something that inspires us to rethink our closets. Let’s check it out!
Favorite Map Themed Project: I have a love for maps. They look so pretty and vintage. I love this idea to make keychains using maps by Pillar Box Blue.
Favorite Throw: North Country Nest whipped up this gorgeous no-sew tassel throw! I mean it looks so cozy and trendy. Two things we love in a good throw, right? What color tassels would you use??
Favorite Custom Closet: Home is Where My Heart Is created this awesome industrial custom closet. I love that it looks different than the closet organizers you find at the store. And that it is so huge! I dream of giant closets like this.
Favorite Modern Spice Rack: Grillo Designs created this hanging spice rack solution. It looks modern and so useful. Loe the hanging spots on the bottom for spice packets.
Favorite Old Made New Door: Our reader Paula shared her gorgeous barn door with us on Facebook. Can you believe this door is over 100 years old! So cool!

Favorite Focal Point: The ceiling!!! Normally ceilings are pretty plain. Painted white and textured. Not this ceiling! It has all sorts of charm. It isn’t entirely covered with tiles, but this small outset works wonders in this kitchen.
