Home Sweet Home on a Budget: Fun Spaces and a LINKUP

Today’s the last Friday of the month, so that means it’s time for you to show off your Home Sweet Home on a Budget projects.  November’s theme was FUN SPACES.  We took a look at some dream inspiration spaces, a few awesome playrooms for blogger families, and blogger basement makeovers already this month.  At the bottom of this post, you can link up projects that you’ve worked on to create FUN SPACES in your own home.  While you are scrolling down, enjoy taking a look at the things bloggers have done with upstairs spaces to make them fun.

I totally get that not every home has a basement..or that not every basement has usable space.  Attics and bonus rooms can serve the same role as a basement when it comes time to finding an extra spot in the home for toys, hobbies, and storage.  Check out how some blogger families are making their above ground rooms work for fun.

Simply Organized gave us a look inside their upstairs bonus room recently here at Remodelaholic.  You’ll find some great ideas for inexpensive, DIY storage options in this space.

In the attic at Read Daddy Read, they managed to squeeze in spaces for lounging, crafting/sewing, playing, and dressing up!

This incredible space from guest blogger ewe hooo was shared here at Remodelaholic.  It features beautiful woodwork and secret storage spaces!  It doubles as both bedroom and playroom for two lucky boys.

And now for the girl version of that attic, here’s one that got a makeover for three sisters at The Penington Point.  You can bet with three girls in this attic, there’s a lot of fun to be had.  Especially since this makeover was under $200!

If blogging is playtime at your house, then you’ll adore the attic office by Perfectly Imperfect that we featured.  It’s as pretty as can be.

And on the other side of the attic at Perfectly Imperfect , there’s a playspace for kids, too.  (Also featured at Remodelaholic.)

Couldn’t get enough of that attic blogging room, could you?  Here’s another, at Pretty Handy Girl.

What used to be a formal dining room is the bonus room at Centsational Girl‘s house.  It’s been a playroom, but now the kids are getting older, she’sturned it into the perfect spot to study, work on art projects, or play a board game.

Feel free to pin this so your friends on Pinterest can join in the fun of our monthly linkup!
