Living Room Before and Beautiful After
There’s still much more to do, but just to give you a little taste, here’s a few before and afters!
Before:
Closeup of pillow and striping on chair fabric:
Our sunburst mirrors (I’m scared they’re hung a bit too high? Do I need to lower them?)
And those superfun patterned pillows that I absolutely adore on the couch:
Among the to-do’s for this room are to find lighting for the end tables (done in Nov 2009), accessorize the mantel and the nested end tables, find a new end table for the side of the couch by the windows, and OH YEAH…. finish off the media area which is currently in a state of quasi-disaster and looks like this.
Notice the exposed subfloor? Yeah. Nice huh? But, it used to look like this so we’re making progress at least:
>Wow, dramatic change. (and no, I don't think you need to lower the mirrors.)
>This is so LOVELY! Where did you get the rug? I am in love!
>AWESOME! WOW.
I loooooove the window coverings and the rug is so dramatic yet simple.
Looks fantastic!

PS – I think the starburst mirrors are ok where they are.
>This room looks like its from a magazine!!! The mirrors are perfectly placed. Dont change a thing!
>Great job on this room. So fun and love the starbursts…Rule of thumb for hanging artwork, it should be hung with the center of the piece at approximately 60" from the floor. Visit us for this and other My Design Guide solutions. But visit Remodelaholic first – for all the best pics
>I love this one! Loving the rug and furniture. Just lovely.

>What a great room and love all the pattern you have going, very sophisticated. I think the starburst should stay right where they are!
>Love the orange pillows, where are they from?
>Cool! Is that the West Elm rug?
>I love your flooring and paint color. Do you mind sharing where the brand/color on each of those. We are redoing a home we just bought and I am trying to figure out flooring and paint and I love what you choose. Thanks!
