Smart Home Update: Installing a Wi-Fi Thermostat
Installing a Wi-FI Thermostat can be a tedious chore if you don’t know what you are doing. See how we added a smart home thermostat and what features we love about our Honeywell Home T-9 Wi-Fi Thermostat.
As we’ve been updating our pair of fixer-uppers, we’ve also been adding smart home features. Controlling household devices from our phones is so convenient! From our smart lock on the front door to our favorite phone-sized travel printer, to the wi-fi garage door opener and easy-install USB charging outlets (plus a smart color-changing light we love and a smart TV, too!) — Justin loves adding new tech and I love the added convenience. Enter our new wi-fi thermostat! Check out the video and subscribe to our channel to see how easy it was to set up:

We chose the Honeywell Home T-9 Wifi Thermostat for our home because it had a couple of features that we really liked:
- wi-fi connection to control the temperature from your phone via the app
- individual room sensors to show the temperature
- works with Google Assistant and Alexa
- phone app for both iPhone and Android phones
Since I’ve been pregnant and not feeling well, this thermostat has been an amazing feature to have so I can adjust the temperature without having to drag my sick body to the thermostat!
As you can see in the video, it’s pretty simple and straightforward to remove the old thermostat, install the new smart thermostat, and set up the new thermostat through the app.
And the room temperature sensor was easy to set up, too, and blends in to our decor pretty seamlessly:
Do you have any smart home features? Which ones are on your list? I LOVE making our home smarter and more convenient for us!
