Lovely White Painted Projects
Hello again, and it’s time for another round of Remodelaholics Anonymous! Yes, a monthly chance to gain support for your addiction… because we’re pretty sure there’s no cure! Check out all the great projects linked up last month here. We selected some of our favorite WHITE projects to share with you here. Because white gets a bad rap as “boring” or “sterile” but it can actually be quite versatile and quite lovely (see here and here). Link up your home projects below (of all colors!) and we’ll choose our favorites to share, pin, and feature here next month!
12 Great Ways to Use White in Your Home
The Heathered Nest started with a smurf blue (no joke!) room and turned it into this lovely white and pastel room for their daughter.
Every bathroom can use more storage, and we love this in-wall storage over at Since I Became a Mom! (You can also see another similar idea here.)
While you’re redoing your bathroom, don’t forget the ceiling! Simply Swider put up some fun wallpaper and accented it with some white crown molding to make it pop.
Painting furniture isn’t difficult, but there are some tips to know for getting a perfect and smooth finish — head over to Newton Custom Interiors for her tips on painting trash to treasure pieces.
And when you have a piece that has lovely lines, often a simple color like what really helps show it off, like this drum table over at Ardent Hands Designs
A coffee table with storage? You know you want one! See how Her Toolbelt built this one.
Okay, this isn’t strictly white… but This Little Life turned her walk-in closet into a nursery for her little one. So cute!
From a Dream to DIY gave these nightstands a nice makeover — and she used an unexpected material to create those decorative drawer fronts!
Another contender in the “paint it white” category — this cubby shelf makeover from My Love 2 Create. The two-tone finish with the white and wood tones is one of my current favorites.
White kitchens are classic, cottagey, and lovely — see this one from My So Called DIY Blog
and this one from The Little White House on the Seaside.
One of the best ways to make white work in your home is to combine a nice shade of white (like one of these) with TEXTURE — like this plank-style shiplap wall from Sypsie Designs. (And you can check out that easy floating shelf here, too.)
So now it’s your turn — link up your projects of all colors, shapes, and sizes below! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been doing!
