A Very Happy (Half) Birthday! To You

Last week Etta turned 6 months.  It really does FLY BY!  And in the scheme of things six month isn’t very long, but it feels like she has always been here, but she’ll be 17 before we know it, so I have to enjoy it now! Right?

I really wanted to have a mini celebration.  I can’t take credit for the idea.  When I was 19 and a half exactly, my Aunt Trinka, brought me a darling little half birthday cake, so I really wanted to make one for Etta.  She didn’t get to eat any… But that didn’t stop Justin and I from eating it and dang it is so good!!! (frosting and directions coming for Wednesday’s recipe)

We set up the camera so we could take a family picture, it is always a funny experience using the timer!

No cakes were harmed in the photographing of this family!  (later, now that is a different story!)
