Friday Favorites: Backyard Ideas and More
Favorite Backyard Project: A walking bath can add some real curb appeal. If you don’t want concrete consider something a little different like this path by Just Measuring Up.
Favorite Colorful Project: Pillar Box Blue got really creative with old mugs and dishes to create a pretty place for plants. I love all the bright shades paired with the fresh flowers.
Favorite Vertical Herb Garden: I’ve always had a thing for cute herb gardens, but I love the practicality of a vertical one. Sadie Seasongoods came up with a cute way to combine the two.
Favorite Planter Pots: These are the perfect pots for someone with a brown thumb! Find It Make It Love It created these funny and encouraging planter pots.
Favorite Outdoor Storage Solution: I’ve seen storage benches at the store, but they don’t look this cute! The Handyman’s Daughter shares building plans for this awesome bench.
Favorite 2×4 Build: This bench is perfect for lacing up shoes in an entryway. The Creative Mom built it out of 2x4s! Plus, it looks like it could be right out of Fixer Upper!
Favorite Fire Pit Area: This fire pit has a beautiful pea gravel surround. It really defines the space in Repurpose and Upcycle’s backyard. She shares how she got the look.

Favorite Office Chairs: This room is big on style. The desk is amazing and the chairs are just so perfect. If this were in my house, I might not want to let the kids do their homework here because, I would love working in here.

Favorite Backsplash: I have had a slight crush on marble lately. This backsplash is no exception. It looks gorgeous and it really makes a statement by going all the way to the top of the cabinets.
Favorite new why-didn’t-I-think-of-that boredom buster for kids: I came across this on Amazon and it’s brilliant! This ToyTape (affiliate link) is peel and stick tape to make your own roads and cities. Perfect for the wet spring we’ve had that has caused some cabin fever!
The motivational planter pots are right up my alley! There may be hope for those us without green thumbs!
Yeah, exactly what I was thinking. I sometimes don’t have the green thumb I wish I did.
Loads of inspiration in your features this week, Emily! Thanks for the party and have a great weekend.
Thank you Marie!!!
