Mixed metals is a home decor trend that isn’t going away anytime soon. In fact, this gorgeous two-tone modern farmhouse is a great example of why using two different metal finishes works so well. Black and gold–a tried and true combo–provide warm, eye-catching accents in the otherwise neutral kitchen.

You’ll find black and gold elements on the light fixtures, cabinet hardware, and even the kitchen island stools. The two-tone look is further emphasized by the contrasting white upper cabinets and wood finish lower cabinets. This farmhouse kitchen has the perfect dose of rustic comfort with all the pros of modern design.

Great tips! And such a swoon-worthy kitchen. We think the lovely subway backsplash and barn door are also great elements that beautifully complement the style.

Those lower cabinets are exactly what I’ve been looking for! You’re post came at the perfect time! We’re beginning to build in a few months. Our last home had an espresso stain on the floors. Gorgeous but sweeping twice a day was overwhelming. Great for the biceps, though! These cabinets go with everything ❤️❤️
