Inspired Through Instagram: Home Offices where Style Meets Function
Maybe it’s because it’s a new year and organization is on the brain. Maybe we just really, really love offices and workstations. Either way, it’s fun to see what is happening on Instagram! Although pretty images are the rave, it’s fun to see style and function merge into some of these home office spaces.

Charming Home Office with a Window Seat and a Chair for Sitting
This beautifully designed office can be used as a multipurpose room and maybe even a retreat away from the demands of everyday living. Neutral colors and simple furnishings all come together to create a calming room. When featured on Instagram, this image prompted many comments, our favorite being: “I’m over here wondering why I can’t save this pin… ????????♀️I need sleep.” by @mcalla29

Scandinavian-Influenced Office Work Space
The clean white slate in this office by @keskipiste is infused with some of our favorite Scandinavian styles: natural wood tones and touches of black. Neatly tucked in a corner and beside a cabinet for storage, this workspace utilizes a smaller area without sacrificing style.
Traditional Home Office with Built-in Bookcases

If you crave a more traditional setting, this is the office for you. Gorgeous built-ins, hardwood flooring, and the large desk have a timeless feel. Are you a collector? These shelves would give you a place to display those finds. This office even includes a rolling ladder! Here’s a comment along that regard:
@pamjklemm “I have always wanted an office/library with a ladder. I guess I’ll just have to live vicariously through this one….sigh ????. It’s a beautiful space!”
Craftsman and Farmhouse Styles Merge for a Classy Office Space
We found this lovely office design by @obsessed_with_home_decor_ and had to share it! The fabulous barrel chairs provide a space for meetings and the computer is set-up in the office console in order to free up desk space. While that provides amazing function, the wall details really set this space apart. Stone and custom-built moldings bring this room home. White Farmhouse (with a Dash of Modern) Office

White walls haven’t run their course yet and we’re glad. This symmetrical built-in invokes harmony. In addition, the farmhouse desk, baskets, and wall sconces make us feel as if we are right at home. The chair is more modern as are some of the accent pieces and it all blends beautifully.
Tile Floored, Scandinavian-Style Office
Rather than using a rug for some floor character, this office takes it to a whole new level with patterned tile! For instance, black and white paired with natural wood makes a space feel updated and more modern. Custom french doors, metal shelving, and ample drawer space are just some of the fun elements of this home office. Pendant lighting? Why not use it in the office too? It certainly adds a lot to the design.
