11 Awesome Bunk Rooms: St. George Parade of Homes Video Tour

We are big fans of touring local home shows and seeing what beautiful and creative things builders and interior designers alike are doing — and then, of course, sharing it here with you on the blog! (See our Get This Look library and Home Tour series for more, plus some of our favorite highlights here as well.) We try to attend our local Utah Valley Parade of Homes as well as the Salt Lake Parade of Homes, and we spent the last week in sunny St. George at the Parade of Homes there, visiting as many of the homes as we could fit in to our vacation-paced week 😉 We’ve compiled a few of our favorite bunk rooms in our latest YouTube video — let us know which home(s) you want to see more of in future videos and posts, and be sure to subscribe to our channel to see more! Check out these 11 awesome bunk rooms.

Bunk rooms are a popular feature in many of these homes because this area is a big tourist destination, and many families also have large families with large extended families. So these bunk rooms work great for cousin sleepovers and for a vacation rental property. Some feature built-in bunk beds while others have more traditional freestanding beds — and they all use the space so efficiently! Not all of these rooms are the huge bunkrooms that we often see, but they really maximize both the sleeping and storage space, and many of them also have a great setup for play space or even an ensuite bathroom off the bunk room.

I love dreaming big and thinking of what we’d do if the sky was the limit in our homes… then scaling it to the reality of our 1970’s rambler while still making it beautiful AND affordable! Most of us don’t live in parade homes, but I’m a firm believer that you can create the style you love in your own home, regardless of the size of your laundry room, height of your ceilings, or functionality of your mudroom… or lack thereof!
