Home Sweet Home on a Budget: Pretty Pantry Doors
Hi, Remodelaholics, I’m back to share some low-cost home improvement ideas with your from around the web. This month I’m focusing on projects that can change the look or function of your kitchen without taking a second mortgage. Just in case you missed it, check out last week’s post on refinishing cabinets.
When it comes to kitchen improvements, most of us tend to focus on the big-time changes: new appliances, different/better cabinets, updated flooring, upgraded countertops, or even entire construction projects that involve gutting spaces or bumping out walls. There comes a time in the life of every kitchen when those big changes have to happen. But, in the meantime, while you’re saving up to make costly updates, there are a few little things you can do to add charm and character to your kitchen. Changing out your window treatments, painting walls and/or cabinets, removing cabinet doors, installing new cabinet hardware, adding a tile backsplash, decluttering countertops, and refreshing linens are a few of those little things that come to mind.
One more inexpensive, easy update to make in a kitchen has really taken the blogosphere by storm, lately. Making over pantry doors from blah to beautiful is a fun trend that has the potential to add loads of character to any kitchen. Check out some of my favorites:

Aren’t those great! It makes me want to change up my pantry door!
Next week I’ll be back with a few more ideas for low-cost kitchen improvements…and a kitchen project linkup!
Don’t forget to have your kitchen projects ready to linkup here on Saturday, July 28th. Cassity and I can’t wait to see what you’ve been doing to improve your kitchen without busting your budget!

So funny that you would have doors on today… I’m thinking of painting the door in my kitchen that goes to the basement… I want to make it look a little grey, like driftwood, kind of like the turquoise one you showed but greyer. Any suggestions? I love your examples!

wow .. its fantastic post
this is my first visit for your blog but i like it so much and i will visit it again and follow it
I recently “remodeled” a closet in my kitchen into a pantry. It has HIDEOUS metal bi-fold doors that I am desperate to get rid of soon. One side is against the wall and the other is close to the thermostat. Not much room for doors to “open”. Any suggestions? (I am not crazy about using a curtain and have already thought of that.)
I love that yellow pocket door! I’m in the middle of a major kitchen remodel (total gut job), but still looking for something fun for the pantry/pantry door. This gives me some cute ideas!
Good luck with all the work you are doing! I am sure a fun pantry door will be the perfect finishing touch!
I love the blue, painted doors! So gorgeous! Now I’m totally thinking of ways to spruce up my pantry door! Thanks for sharing!
We’d love to see pictures!
