Recently Cassity and Justin shared one of their latest projects, DIY IKEA Hemnes Desk Hack into Double-Duty Shared kids Desk with Hidden Storage. It is fun, it is functional, it cleans up easy and is sturdy! It’s an excellent option for a homework station, for homeschooling or for small living spaces — dining table to homework space with the lift of a lid? Yes please! Another IKEA hack that is great for homework is this IKEA Bookcase to Built-in Desk Nook Hack. If you love the look and style built-ins offer, this may be a perfect solution for you. Maryann from Domestically Speaking created this desk and said it could be put together in less than a day!
Another beautiful desk that may fit perfectly into your home is this IKEA Hack: Easy DIY Live edge Desk With Trestle Legs by Colleen from Lemon Thistle. Recently, we received a photo of Sheila’s latest project. She said,
_”It was about a year ago I asked if anyone had examples of tumbleweed art. No one did. So I waited until “tumbleweed season,” picked a nice one and let it fully dry in the shed. This week I sprayed it with Rustoleum’s Bright Copper (I used the whole can. Some is now on my glasses…). I then used wire tie to loop around lower branches, threaded those through the bottom of an empty planter, then wrapped the wires around a canning ring. Then I put on two sets of copper wire solar lights (Amazon) and here we are! I love having movement and light on my porch after Christmas, while it is still so dark and cold.”_
It’s beautiful! I would have never throught to use tumbleweed as decor but now I want to go out and find some! I love the creativity and the finished project is so pretty! Thank you for sharing the idea, I know it will definitely inspire others as well!
