Add a different fabric on the bottom of your white curtains. Love this color block curtain idea (Decorating Cents).

Try shopping your home for fabric to add to your curtains. This curtain looks really cute with fabric from an old bedskirt and some trim (Just A Girl Blog).

For a different look, sew on a pretty fabric on the top of your white curtains instead of the bottom (A Thoughtful Place).

Ruffles on white curtains look so sweet, especially in a little girls’ room (Creatively Living).

For a more tailored look, try pleated ruffles (Addicted 2 Decorating). This was done on a shower curtain but would look equally as great on a pair of white curtains.

Add a gorgeous marble effect to white curtains with watered-down paint and a black paint pen (Cuckoo 4 Design).

Construct a wood pelmet box and cover it with a solid fabric with trim (A Thoughtful Place)…

…or upholster an easy foam core board pelmet box with a fun patterned fabric (My Old Country House)…

…or build an amazing upholstered cornice with a cut-out design. Cover it with beautiful fabric and it will look fabulous with a pair of white curtains (Worthing Court).

A classic but a goodie — bamboo shades add a lot of warmth to white curtains, along with black curtain rods for some drama (Crazy Wonderful).

Add some texture and color to white curtains with tie-backs, like this easy rope tie-back DIY that would look great both outside and indoors (Cottage In the Oaks).

And here’s another rope tie-back DIY that’s so polished that nobody would guess you made it yourself (Tattered Style).

Agate coasters glued on metal tie-backs will look like jewelry for your white curtains (Martha Stewart).

You could glue on pretty much anything on simple metal tie-backs, even antlers (TFD Style)!

I have polyester sheer curtain panels. I love the polka dots. Will painting work on this type of material.
