Here at Remodelaholic we love all things home decor and DIY, but we also love RECIPES. While we will continue to share our latest and greatest remodeling projects we want to start sharing some really yummy recipes once a week. Enjoy the recipes and know that we are still Remodelaholics.
However, the deliciousness factor is not the only thing that’s mind blowing about this recipe (because this is seriously the best meal ever!!!) because it only uses 6 ingredients. 6 I mean you probably need more ingredients to prepare your breakfast cereal right?
And not only that but all of the things are ingredients that you probably already have stocked somewhere in your kitchen, and if not then totally go buy them because they make the best pantry staples. We are using parmesan cheese, pesto sauce, heavy cream (are you already drooling?) and the secret ingredient that makes every meal better: BACON! + some parsley and your choice of pasta, I went with linguini but honestly any pasta works.
As you see all of the ingredients are easy to find ones but combined make an incredible, out of this world good dish that easily wins anything you have at an Italian restaurant.
Cooking this Creamy Pesto Pasta is also very simple so it’s a nice date at home idea if you want, and it’s also great to cook with the help of the little ones that may be interested in helping with the “mixing things on a bowl” part.
I definitely advise going big with the sauce because that sauce is magical. So go with this batch as it is but I highly advise doubling the sauce recipe to have enough for a quick meal at the next day since this creamy situation here goes great served on top of some baked chicken too.
Creamy Pesto Pasta
- 10 oz. linguini pasta
- 3 Bacon strips chopped
- ¼ Cup parsley chopped
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 1 Cup parmesan cheese
- ½ Cup pesto sauce
- Salt to taste
Bring water to boil in a kettle.
Transfer to a pot over medium-high heat with salt.
Add the pasta and cook as instructed on the packaging.
While waiting, in a bowl mix the pesto with the heavy cream and half cup parmesan cheese. Set aside.
In a pan over medium heat cook the bacon until crispy. Set aside.
Drain the pasta and combine with the pesto sauce.
Transfer to plates and garnish with the parsley, bacon, and parmesan cheese.
Serve and enjoy.
