Whole Wheat Nutella Brownies Recipe

I am a chocolate lover, my husband has had to accept this fact about me.  As a chocolate lover, I know with a surety that there is nothing like a good brownie, am I right?  I actually have a perfect fudge brownie recipe that I swear by!  BUT add some Nutella, and make the recipe 5 ingredients or less and you have a winner for sure!  And because I am obsessed with whole wheat (I don’t even buy white flour anymore, apparently), adding whole wheat seals the deal for me.

I’ve tried and failed at making flour free Nutella cookies similar to the peanut butter cookie version, ya know what I mean, I hope.  I will probably try to revisit this, because we all need more Nutella in our lives… well probably we don’t NEED more but we want more..

Anyway, when saw this 3 ingredient Nutella brownie recipe here, I had to try it, but because I can’t follow a recipe exactly to save my life, I made a few changes.

Whole Wheat Nutella Brownies

1 cup Nutella
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 shakes of salt
2/3 cup white whole wheat flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

In your stand mixer or a medium bowl, beat the eggs, Nutella and vanilla together.  Add in the flour and a shake or 2 of salt. mix until incorporated.   Using a regular sized muffin tin, line 7-9 cupcakes with paper or foil cupcake liners.  Fill the liners about 3/4 of the way up.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are beginning to crack on top.

  1. I have enjoyed Nutella in everything I have tried so far. It sounds like it would be great in brownies.

  2. Yummy!! I can’t wait to try these! The recipe is simple and easy! My husband doesn’t like chocolate which I don’t understand. To me, chocolate is a basic food group that is an essential part of everyone’s daily life. 🙂
