My Christmas Home Tour
After 12 days of working on Christmas projects and posts, I am happy to say my house is as done as it is gonna get for Christmas!!! Does that mean the whole house is decorated? Not on you life! But either way, I guess it is perfect timing that I am finishing up the 12 days series, just as I am joining some other wonderful ladies in a holiday home tour.
Oh, and by home tour, I mean the one finished room in my house, my living room, mostly! I know, I am SO boring, so real life! But it is the only room in this house that we have fully finished, well almost… don’t even get me started about unfinished projects. I have a problem, an addiction if you will, to unfinished projects.
Anywho, at least we can hang out in our very cheerful living room!
Christmas Home Tour!
Happy Christmas! If you are visiting for the home tour from Not Just a Housewife, Welcome!!
To see the rest of the houses stop by Just a Girl.
We have been loving a real life winter wonderland outside. Follow me on Instagram to see more…
So the “theme” if you will for my decor has been Silver and gold… otherwise, I did whatever the heck I wanted!
So first, our silver and gold tree!
I showed you how to make a no sew 2 minute Faux Fur tree skirt here.
I decided to make some new Christmas stockings this year, I created a full tutorial and included a pattern too!
I didn’t want to sew new throw pillows, but I found some great options at Target! (And I like a few of them enough that I feel like I can use them in another room when the season is over!)
We needed some wall art… so I made this, I think i love it for year round! The new string art, with a full tutorial is there, so that you can make one too!
I changed out some art that was on my walls with a kids art gallery!
It seems like this year we had a bit of a theme in the decor besides color… Reindeer!!! I made this fabulous Santa and reindeer garland, it was so easy and SO inexpensive!
I talked a little bit about how I wanted the girls to be involved in the decorating, and I really think overall we were successful. Also, while I feel like most of the decor is not juvenile, we definitely threw some in good kid details in the mix. Including some pipe cleaner wreath ornaments, a snowman wreath with full tutorial, and a new advent calendar that they can redecorate to their heart’s content (without messing up our main tree! Win/win!!!)

Hi Cassity,
Love all of your holiday projects and your silver and gold home! Those colors always remind me of Snowman Sam singing it in Rudolph 🙂
Hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Thanks Jessica and Merry Christmas!
Lovely tour, Cassity! Your golds just illuminate your room! And I would totally steal that JOY sign. That is the coolest thing ever!
What a pretty home tour! All that glitter gold gives your home such a warm and cozy feel. And bravo on that amazing Joy String Art! Fabulous idea!
Your home is very pretty. The reindeer across the mantle is my favorite .
Thanks Rhondi! Merry Christmas!
Please, please, PLEASE do a tutorial for the ribbon on your gold and silver tree. I have a ton of smaller ornaments (all sentimental) and the ribbon on your tree adds beauty to the tree without taking up a bunch of space. 🙂
Thank you, Joy! I don’t have a tutorial, but this one that our contributor Corey shared is pretty much the same idea: https://www.remodelaholic.com/2014/11/decorate-christmas-tree-designer-dollar-store/. Thanks!
