30 Best Pie Recipes

I’d like to take a moment to recognize the outstanding efforts of the first person ever to bake a pie. Whoever you may be, I owe you a debt of gratitude. Not only I, but Americans everywhere, thank you. Where would we be today, if we couldn’t use the expressions, “American as apple pie”, “easy as pie”, or “Let’s sit down and have some pie.” We’d be pie-less, that’s where we’d be.

Speak for yourself, but I don’t want to live in a place that doesn’t have pie. Fruit pie, cream pie, tart, cheesecake, streusel. Bring it on!

A place that does have pie is my house at Thanksgiving. I’m going through my recipes this week, deciding what kinds of pie we are going to be noshing on at the end of our feast. Believe me, it is going to be hard to choose. I’m delighted to share a mouthwatering list of the best pies I’ve ever seen, today. (Try not to drool on your keyboards, okay?)

And please be sure to pin it, to share this list with those you love!

I would love it if you would use the Pin It button (above) to share this post with your friends on Pinterest. If you’d like to pin individual photos, please follow the links provided and pin directly from the source. That’s good Pinterest etiquette!

Our family has been making a pie every month since 2010. Thanks for even more ideas to continue the tradition! (I am in the process of recording our pie experiences and recipes on my blog)

I pinned many of your pie pictures and when I went back to my recipe board I clicked on the picture and no recipe came in view. Where are the recipes for your pies? If there are no recipes I will have to delete them from my recipes. Thank you for a quick reply. 2/19/14
