Best Paint Colors for Your Home: Mint & Lime Green

(Sorry!! I missed wishing you all a Merry Christmas yesterday!  I didn’t even open my computer!  It was  a great day! I really hope you had a great day to, so anyway MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!)

Welcome to the latest edition of The Color Files at Remodelaholic!  Today, in our trip around the color wheel, we’re going to be discovering two shades of green:  mint and lime.   Last week’s shades of emerald were gorgeous, but warmer and definitely more intense.  Mint and lime, on the other hand are cool colors, and can function almost as neutrals; they play really well with bright pinks and reds, blues like navy and aqua, browns, tangerine, coral, and always black and white.

I’ve featured these two shades of green together is that the differences between mint and lime tend to be a little blurry unless you are looking at their most vibrant versions.  In other words, what I call mint, you might call lime.  (Actually, there’s some blurriness between pale turquoise and mint, too, but that’s a topic for another day.)  No matter how you define these shades of green, there’s no arguing the fact that they make the rooms they are in feel just like spring.  We can all use a little of that in the middle of winter, can’t we?
