Patio Party – Fresh spring colors for your outdoor space
With all that inspiration floating around my mind, it didn’t take me long at all to come up with a pretty and fresh outdoor space of my own.
I’m also a fan of juxtaposing clean, modern lines with natural elements. I think things like streamlined planters really let the plant be the star of the show. In an outdoor space with no walls, it seems like it’s easier to quickly get to the point where your space starts looking too busy, because there is just so much going on. So keeping some of the elements on the simpler side can help counter that effect and draw more attention to the elements you really want to shine.
Doesn’t this space just make you want to throw a party?? You can see all the sources for this Olioboard mood board here.
Thanks again to Cassity & the Remodelaholic team for having me here today. I look forward to being back again next month with more inspiration and another mood board for you! Love your patio mood board. Love the colors you chose. I would love to have the porch with the ocean view 🙂
Wouldn’t we all! What a view!! 🙂
The best finishing touch on an outdoor room is lighting effects. Outdoor Christmas white lights are the best. I don’t like twinkling. In my opinion, you want them on, not drawing more attention to themselves, they set the mood, and flashing lights gets tacky fast – at least to me.
The best time to get them is right after Christmas or maybe at a Christmas store that is open off season and may buy in bulk from other stores. I also like the big clear bulbs on strings, put up some of those around a big tree, crack open some wine, and you have a Nicholas Sparks movie.
