Remodelaholic in Review: August 2014

So, not to give anyone a heart attack or anything… but it’s September. Which means it’s almost Halloween (which I love!) and then we’re fully into the holiday season that won’t let up until after the Christmas crazies. But, rather than dwelling on the impending holidays, let’s think back to summer… lovely summer… and recap what the Remodelaholic team was up to during the heyday of August…

We are still working hard on our new-to-us house, and I’ll have more to share soon! We’ve painted, leveled floors, and laid the most gorgeous wood tile (which is achy work but it’s beautiful!) — check out those pics over on Instagram for now, with a reveal here on the blog… later. Eventually. But we also painted our fireplace black and added the easiest (but still lovely) wood mantel:

And we stained our new deck, too. A deck was one of our first projects at the house because we have the BEST backyard. Seriously like the Garden of Eden. So we wanted to enjoy it before the cold weather comes.
