June was another fun and busy month! Summer is flying by… I can’t believe it’s already July! Here’s what we did last month on Remodelaholic. I love to see what you are doing, too, so come share at our weekend party! Click each photo to see that post.
DIY Polka Dot Confetti Drapes
I started June by sharing my favorite part of my oldest daughter’s room: the confetti drapes! They really pull the room together without looking too grown up for my little girl. Get the tutorial to make your own polka dot drapes here.
Wonderful New Home Depot Windows
I was so thrilled to work with The Home Depot to replace my yucky old windows…
with these beautiful new windows!
Seriously, the installers from Home Depot were AMAZING to work with. They went above and beyond what they were required to do and they just did a GREAT job. Read the whole installation story here. And don’t worry, I’ll have a tutorial on those cute window shutters, soon!
Living Room Reveal and Interior Column Building Plans
I also finally showed you the full reveal of my living room… from my last house… don’t judge…
AND I shared the plans to build these interior columns which made such a dramatic difference to our living and dining rooms:
Get This Look
We started a new series this month, called Get This Look, where we find some great inspiration photos and give you a handful of simple tips to achieve that look in your home. This month we did my Park House dining room (I’m a little bit biased, I LOVE that room!) and a pretty and tidy work bench.
Giveaways, Tips, and Recipes
I teamed up with some great companies and bloggers to give away a Kindle Fire for Father’s Day, a camera for you AND one for a friend, and a great Summer Done Bright prize pack from P&G. These giveaways have ended, but thanks to those who entered and congratulations to the winners! Look for more giveaways soon.
And I shared an easy and delicious recipe with you this month: Bacon Veggie Pizza. It starts with a premade crust, so it’s a quick dinner!
Top Ten Favorites and Link Parties
We love to see what you’ve been doing at our Remodelaholics Anonymous parties, and we shared our top ten favorite organized Remodelaholic laundry rooms, DIY mirrors, pretty and organized garages, and hexagon projects for your home.
Contributors and Guests
As always, we are so pleased to have such great contributors and guests on Remodelaholic.
Elisha from Pneumatic Addict Furniture taught us how to built this tufted headboard with nailhead trim; and Nicki of Sweet Parrish Place gave us a great tutorial for painting a faux subway tile kitchen backsplash.
Thanks for another great Remodelaholic month — which was your favorite?
