Remodelaholic in Review; December 2013
I know that we just reviewed all of our 2013 projects and I shared our family’s Top 10 for 2013, so I hope you’re not sick of these review posts… because here comes one more!
I started off December with the 12 Days of Christmas and — wait for it — I actually made it through all 12 days! And I managed to clean up the project mess enough to share a Christmas home tour, too!
Peeps S’more Pie | JOY String Art | Snowman Wreath
Christmas Tree Advent Calendar | Easy Stocking Pattern | Faux Fur Tree Skirt
Merry and Bright Kids’ Art | Gingerbread House Templates and Tips | Christmas Photo Booth Ideas
In the mix I also shared a few of my favorite things and got to give away a Blendtec! I also gave away a Dremel Saw-Max (such an awesome tool!). I am so glad for great sponsors like Blendtec and Dremel who are willing to do awesome giveaways with us. And if you’re looking to get a head-start on the 2014 holiday season (did I really just say that?), go check out all the ideas in the 12 Days of Christmas link party.
We love the giving of the holiday season, so we hosted a flash giveaway over on Instagram AND one on Facebook… be sure you’re following because we just might be doing things like that again… We were also featured in the 2013 Holiday Gift Guide over at Centsational Girl, and our dresser to vanity guest post from way back in 2010 was included as one of Pinterest’s Top Pins of the Year!
Contributors
We snuck in the very first of our new contributor team! Michelle from 4men1lady shared her lovely white Christmas tree with DIY wood stick arrow ornaments:
and we also had Jessica from Mom 4 Real join us as a guest before her official debut as a contributor here in a couple of weeks 🙂 Check out her super easy DIY wine crate shelves here.
Get This Look
We added just one new look to our Get This Look library, the shared home office and homework station.
Top Ten and Link Party
And with the holidays and the 12 Days of Christmas, we hosted just one Remodelaholics Anonymous link party, with the Top Ten featuring 10 Fabulous Stair Makeovers.
Featured Guests
We ended December with a guest extravaganza and some AMAZING projects! Thanks to all of our guests — go check out their projects and then head over to their blogs to show them some love! (If you’re interested in being a guest, you can submit a project to be featured here.)
